Payroll/Billing HyperLink
Milepost Transportation   http://www.aadeveloper.com/NoAccess.htm
This application was created to combine and integrate a Dispatch, Payroll, Billing and Document Scanning System. This application was linked using ODBC/SQL connection and brought together in an Access database. These four systems not only eliminated data entry errors, but allowed us to enter the data one time in our Dispatch system, reused the data to generate our Billing, Payroll and Scanning operations. This application also allowed us to bill and be paid by our customer two weeks in advance even before processing our Payroll. This has also cut down on employees from 10 to 2 full time employees. In addition, the data was extracted to our customer and was imported into their auditing system which eliminated Postal cost and allowed us to go paperless. This multi-integration was ultimately an assist when the company was sold to its largest competitor in March 2005.

TACS HyperLink
TransPar Group   http://www.transpar.com
This application was created to replace the Accident and Complaint System. The previous system consisted of two stand-alone applications, which were never linked to one another. This created multiple entries when updating school, driver and bus information on both systems. The TACS application incorporated both systems into one complete system, which shared the same database, hence only one update needed. Other features include the ability to customize and create our own forms and create multiple reports, extracts and views in order to fit our necessities for the customer. The TACS application is currently being utilized in many school districts across the nation including: Moreno Valley School District (CA), Penn-Harris Madison School District (IN), Chicago Public School District (IL), Special School District (MO), Pocono Mountain School District (PA) and Kansas City District (MO).

Sign-in Sheets HyperLink
TransPar Group   http://www.transpar.com
This application was created to replace the time clock system in both our Moreno Valley School District (CA) and Carpentersville School District 300 (IL). This application aided in saving the school districts a tremendous amount of money spent on unauthorized overtime, misuse of time clocks and incorrect manual calculations and data entry errors. The drivers are paid based on route information generated from the routing system, and it automatically calculates check-in and out, post and pre-trip inspections and benefit time used, and is also calculated based on guaranteed or bid hours. As a result, accuracy has improved.

Student Search HyperLink
Kansas City School District   http://www.kcmsd.k12.mo.us
The Student Search application was created to assist the Hotline in the Kansas City School District (MO) during school startup. This application was utilized by users who did and did not have access to the TransFinder Routing System. It was a quick way of searching for student, school and bus stop information versus the TransFinder system. In addition, users needed to accommodate callers on providing more information regarding bus stops not assigned to students. The challenge was a task that TransFinder was uncertain or unable to accomplish without accessing the TransFinder system. What I did was extract the street information (street numbers, directions and street names) from our MapInfo system for the areas surrounding the Kansas City School District and combined it with the student information located in TransFinder. I then used programming code not only to locate the student and their address, but all stops within the 1.5 mile radius for all schools or a specific school. As a result, this allowed users to enter any address serving the Kansas City area and Geo-Code the students to a stop. In sum, I essentially created a small routing system (without the maps) that can Geo-code a student based on any given address.

Student Upload HyperLink
Kansas City School District   http://www.kcmsd.k12.mo.us
The Kansas City School District (MO) has been comparing data between the District's Student System and TransFinder in order to ensure accurate and up to date student information in both systems. The task for comparison was a manual process and too time consuming. TransFinder was unsuccessful in creating an upload from TransFinder into the district's system. To facilitate this process, I created an upload file from the TransFinder system in a format that the district's system can accept by marrying each data to one another for data comparison. As a result, this upload has minimized the amount of work spent on manual data comparison and allowed users to change only what the computer has generated as an exception.
